Dr. Amos Kahane 

DMD

Dr. Amos trained at the Institute of Medicine in Timisoara, Romania graduating with his DMD in 1985. This was followed by a two-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the Rambam Medical Center – a hospital in Israel. He then continued his studies at Yeorit Institute leaving with a certificate in oral rehabilitation (known in Canada as prosthodontics). Since coming to Canada, along with on-going general dentistry programs (including some at LVI), Dr. Amos has further enhanced his studies by doing two years of orthodontic studies with Canadian Straight Wire Orthodontics, enabling him to provide valuable support to the practice’s visiting orthodontist.

Dedicated to staying on the leading edge of dental technology, Dr. Amos then went on to do a mini residency in Implantology through the University of Miami School of Medicine. He took plenty of continuing education in Sleep Medicine and can treat sleep disorders. This additional expertise allows him to provide comfort to those patients who require dentures or implant dentistry. Over the past several years Dr. Amos has participated in Community Dental Day, a volunteer program organized by the BC Dental Association. This program provides free dental treatment to patients in need, and to date Dr. Amos and his volunteer Certified Dental Assistants have donated more than $10,000.00 worth of treatment!
