A scheduled appointment is a commitment of time between the Doctor and the Patient. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, a 48-hour notice will allow us to make this time available to another patient in need of treatment. We understand that circumstances arise that make it difficult to provide us with 48-hour notice. In these special cases, please contact our office as soon as you are aware you will not be able to attend.
Emergency dental care required during regular office hours will always be given priority, even if this means rescheduling another patient’s appointment. If you appointment is one that requires moving, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. In the event of an after-hours emergency, please phone Dr. Marcela or Dr. Amos Kahane at (250) 423-5543. If you are unable to reach them, you can contact the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at (250) 426-5281 (Dial ‘0’ for the switchboard and ask for the Dentist on-call).
In the interest of your dental health, we advise regular recall appointments and hygiene care. As a courtesy to you, we will do our best to keep track of when you are due and notify you accordingly. We encourage you to call our office if you feel your recall time is past due or if you require treatment in between your recall appointments.
Change of Information
In order to keep our files current, it is important that you inform us of any changes in your mailing address, phone numbers, insurance coverage, or medical history each time you visit our office. This information is always kept confidential.
We have a list of specialists that to whom we feel confident referring our patients. They do require some travel and possible time off work as they are located out of town. Since dental expenses are tax deductible under the medical expense section of your income tax return, we encourage you to keep your receipts of travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.
We are constantly trying to improve our services. If you have any suggestions, criticisms, or concerns regarding our policies, procedures, treatment, fees, or services, please feel free to discuss these with any of our Team Members.
